1. Introduction
This Privacy Policy describes how the Are You Up application ("we", "our", or "the app") handles user information. We are committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about our practices.
**The short version: We do not collect, store, transmit, or share any personal information from our users. The app works entirely on your device.
2. Information We Do NOT Collect
We want to be explicit about what the app does not do:

We do not collect your name, email, phone number, or any other personal identifier
•
We do not track your location
•
We do not access your contacts, photos, microphone, or camera
•
We do not use any third-party analytics services (no Google Analytics, no Firebase, no Mixpanel, etc.)
•
We do not use any advertising networks or tracking SDKs
•
We do not monitor your usage patterns or behavior
•
We do not sell, rent, or share any data with third parties
•
We do not maintain any servers that store user information
3. Information Stored on Your Device
The app stores the following information locally on your device only:
•
Alarm settings: Times, repeat schedules, labels, and dismiss method preferences you create
•
App preferences: Default dismiss method and similar settings
•
Trial period status: A timestamp marking your first launch of the app, used to calculate your free trial period
This data is stored using Apple's standard system frameworks (UserDefaults and SwiftData) and never leaves your device through any of our servers.
4. Purchases and Payment
All in-app purchases are processed by Apple's App Store. We do not receive your payment information, credit card details, or Apple ID. Apple's privacy policy applies to all purchase transactions: https://www.apple.com/legal/privacy/
We only receive aggregated, anonymous purchase reports from Apple to understand how many copies of the app have been sold.
5. Children's Privacy
This app does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children under the age of 13. The app is suitable for general audiences.
6. Permissions Requested by the App
The app requests the following system permissions:

Alarm permission (NSAlarmKitUsageDescription): Required to schedule alarms that work even when the app is closed. This permission is used solely for the core alarm functionality and not for any tracking or analytics.
•
Notification permission: Used solely to send reminders to complete your dismiss challenge after the alarm is silenced. These are time-sensitive notifications that may bypass Do Not Disturb mode, but only for alarm-related reminders. We do not send any marketing, promotional, or other types of notifications.
You may revoke either permission at any time in your device's Settings app.
7. Data Deletion
Since we do not collect or store any data on our servers, there is nothing for us to delete on your behalf. If you wish to remove all data created by the app:
•
Uninstall the app to delete all local data (alarm settings, preferences, and trial period timestamp).
8. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last Updated" date at the top of this document indicates when the policy was last revised. Continued use of the app after any changes indicates acceptance of the updated policy.
