1. Introduction

PicSlim ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled when you use the PicSlim mobile application (the "App").​

The App is a photo compression utility. It helps you select photos from your device, view file sizes, adjust compression quality, save compressed copies to your Photos library, and optionally delete the original photos after you confirm.​

2. Information We Collect

We do not collect, store, transmit, sell, or share personal information from users.​

Specifically, we do not collect:

Names, email addresses, phone numbers, or other personal identifiers​

Location data​

•
Contacts, calendars, files, or unrelated media​

•
Photos, image content, or compressed image files​

•
Usage analytics, advertising identifiers, or tracking data​

•
Payment card details or billing information​

No account or login is required to use the App.

3. Photos Access and Local Processing

The App requests Photos library access only so you can choose photos to compress, view file sizes, save compressed copies, and delete originals if you explicitly choose to do so.​

Photo compression is performed on your device. The photos you select and the compressed results are not sent to us or to any external image processing server.​

If a selected photo is stored in iCloud Photos, Apple's Photos framework may download the original photo to your device for processing. This is handled by Apple and is not a transfer to us.​

4. Local Data Stored on Your Device

The App stores a small amount of non-personal app state locally on your device using iOS storage mechanisms. This may include:​

App preferences such as selected language and theme​

Whether the first-launch onboarding flow has been completed​

•
The first launch date used by local access logic​

•
Free compression usage count​

•
Local purchase or subscription status used to unlock premium access​

This information remains on your device and is not sent to our servers.

5. How We Use Data

Because we do not collect personal information, we do not use your personal data for analytics, advertising, profiling, marketing, or data sharing.​

Local app state is used only to:

Provide the App's photo compression features​

Remember local preferences​

•
Display onboarding and access status appropriately​

•
Track remaining free compression usage on the device​

•
Enable premium access after a purchase or subscription is verified through Apple​
